About

Founder and Species & Sites Programme Manager of Naturehub Collective Community Organisation — a Kenya-based conservation Organisation working across five landscapes including coastal mangroves at Mtwapa Creek, cloud forest in the Taita Hills, vulture conservation in Laikipia, elephant conservation in Amboseli, and community programmes in Kajiado County. Our flagship amphibian conservation work focuses on the Critically Endangered Taita Hills Warty Frog (Callulina dawida) — a species surviving in only 4.3 km² of severely fragmented cloud forest in Kenya's Eastern Arc Mountains, found nowhere else on Earth. We are currently constructing three artificial wetland microhabitats to address climate-induced moisture deficit documented through our 12-month SAVE THE FROGS!-funded monitoring programme — the first ever wetland intervention for this species. SAVE THE FROGS! Grant recipient 2025 and 2026. Our conservation work is published in AMPHIBIOS Issue 2 (June 2026). 2026 A.G. Leventis African Biodiversity Fellow at the University of Oxford ICCS. Marion Paviour Award 2024. Commonwealth Youth Awards 2025 Africa Regional Finalist.

  1. Just arrived on FrogSpace! 🐸 Flying back to Kenya on Sunday after completing my A.G. Leventis African Biodiversity Fellowship at the University of Oxford — and heading straight to the Taita Hills to begin constructing three wetland ponds for the Critically Endangered Taita Hills Warty Frog (Callulina dawida). This species survives in only 4.3 km² of cloud forest in Kenya's Eastern Arc Mountains — found nowhere else on Earth. Our monitoring documented zero encounter rates at our most vulnerable site during the dry season. Climate change is drying out the leaf litter where this frog lays its eggs. So we are building ponds — by hand, with our community. Grateful to @SAVETHEFROGS for making this possible through three consecutive grants. Excited to share the journey here on FrogSpace! 🌍 naturehubcollective.org 📸 @naturehubcollective
